AFFIRMATION OF GOOD GOVERNANCE, LEADERSHIP

Iloilo City is without doubt, a champion in local governance. Proof of this is the annual recognition of the Department of the Interior and Local Government via their Excellence (EXCELL) in Local Governance Awards.

The city was placed in the Hall of Fame in 2014 after it received the awards from 2011-2013; recipient of the Plaque of Sustainability in 2015; and back to back winner of Best Performing Local Government Unit for City Category in 2016 and 2017.

This is to recognize the man behind the numerous governance awards. Under his leadership and despite the challenges, Iloilo City flourished. He brought out the best in the city's administrative, social, economic, and environmental governance. He brought out the best in every department and offices of City Hall. He motivated every official and employee to go beyond their limits... to be outstanding.

Sir Jed, kudos! Inasmuch as these awards are for every Ilonggo, these are most especially for you.
